Dr. Mboga is an Assistant Professor in the Management & International Department at Zeigler College of Business, Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania - Bloomsburg. Her Research Interests include: Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Organizational Leadership Impact on Business and Society; Organizational Behavior: Ethical Decision Making; Cross-Cultural Management; and Corporate Governance (Strategy). Her education is credited to PhD, University of Bolton – United Kingdom; Doctor of Business Administration Walden University–Minneapolis, MN. MBA Wilkes University, and Bachelors from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.

DESCRIPTION/COURSE OVERVIEW

Do you wonder what your role as an HR or business professional is in the strategic planning process for your organization? Join us for an informative session, where Dr. Jet Mboga will share the difference between strategic formulation and implementation and the role of Human Resource Management in the process. You'll leave with practical and actionable ideas to take back to your organization so you can serve the strategic planning process with a more purposeful and aligned approach.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

• Describe the differences between strategy formulation and strategy implementation. 
• Discuss the role of the HRM function in strategy formulation. 
• Describe the linkages between HRM and strategy formulation. 

This session has been submitted for recertification credits with SHRM and HRCI. Chapter members in good standing with their dues and non-members that have paid the nominal fee will receive these credits if in attendance for a minimum of 50 minutes of the program.
